Sean Davey

Home: North Shore, Oahu
Home away from home: Tasmania, Australia
Years shooting: 27 years
Favorite place to shoot: Tasmania
Scariest place to shoot: Water shots at Pipeline on a 10 foot day with large sneaker sets from the North.
Place you've never been but plan to go: Everywhere that I haven't seen yet in Tasmania.
Photo philosophy: Think different and don't be afraid to experiment. Work with people that you like, as that always
helps to bring out your best.
Favorite lensmen: Ted Grambeau, Don King, Horny, The big Dazza (Daren Crawford) I respect all these guys as both people and as talented shooters.
Mentors: Ted for sure, as well as Peter Crawford back in the day and Bruce Channon and Hugh Mcleod from Australian Surfing world mag', also back in the day.
Lesson learned the hard way: 2 words: CAMERA INSURANCE. It will save your career, if nothing else.
